At the age of 40, Sandy gave up a wonderful career as an early childhood education teacher to start a practice that has produced one of the best daycares in the city. Unfortunately, Sandy runs her daycare out of their 100-year-old home, which is completely falling apart and threatens shut down the daycare because of needed repairs.
Cosentino®, the maker of Silestone® quartz countertops, joined with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to provide countertop surfaces, fabrication and installation with hands-on involvement from Stone Systems of Minnesota at the Morris build site. Cosentino donated Silestone® quartz for Kitchen, Mater Bath, Mini Kitchen, Second Bath and a Third Bath in the colors Negro Stellar, Bianco River, Verde Fun, and Yukon. These colors were the most preferred out of the choices the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition designers proposed for each room.
